OUR COMMITMENT

We represent no wine we have not tasted

That is the rule at Les Vins Horizon. If we cannot defend it before a sommelier, it does not enter our portfolio.

OUR HERITAGE

From Roesti to Vins Horizon

It all began with Paul Widmer, founder of the Roesti agency and Maître Rôtisseur of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in Canada. He has dedicated his career to introducing exceptional producers and building lasting relationships between vineyards, restaurateurs, and lovers of fine wines.

Access, not promotion

A focused selection, clear availability, deadlines kept. Wines are ordered by the case and picked up at your SAQ branch.

  1. 1You pay the agency's service fee when you order.
  2. 2The SAQ authorizes the order and sends it to your branch.
  3. 3You pay the cost of the product to the SAQ at pickup.
How to Order

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Private import, with nothing left unclear

Why isn't the displayed price the amount charged when I order?

Because the purchase happens in two steps. In Quebec, the SAQ holds the exclusive right to import alcoholic beverages: we do not sell the alcohol, we sell a selection and delivery service.

When you order, you pay the agency's service fee. The cost of the product is paid to the SAQ, at the counter, when you pick up your bottles. The price shown on the wine page is the total of both, taxes included: nothing is added along the way.

Why do you sell by the case and not by the bottle?

That is how private import works, not a commercial choice. These wines do not go through SAQ shelves: they are ordered from the estate for you, and the estate ships full cases.

Depending on the wine, a case holds 1, 3, 6 or 12 bottles. The format is shown on each wine page, with the price per bottle for reference.

How does delivery work?

By pickup at the SAQ branch of your choice, among those authorized to handle private imports. Pickup is free.

We do not deliver to your home. This is not a limit of our service: it is the legal framework that applies to all private imports in Quebec.

What happens after I order?

We forward your order and the SAQ gives its authorization. The wine is then sent to the branch you chose.

The SAQ lets you know as soon as your order has arrived. You pick up your bottles and pay the cost of the product on site.

How long does it take?

A wine already in the warehouse ships quickly. A wine brought in from the estate takes several weeks, for transport and customs clearance.

The actual lead time is shown on each wine page. If it changes, we let you know before you have to ask.

What if a bottle is corked or broken?

Bring it back to your SAQ branch. We will exchange it, or refund it if an exchange is not possible.

The bottle must be at least three-quarters full and purchased within the last twelve months. Keep your receipt.
