Tasting notes

Ruby colour verging on garnet. An intense nose of plum, cooked fruit and spice, followed by a balsamic touch. Broad, powerful and harmonious on the palate, with fine spicy notes and hints of morello cherry and wild fruit. The alcohol melds into the structure and the elegance of the tannins.

Food pairings

A versatile wine for all meat dishes and hearty first courses. Remarkable with aged cheeses. Serve between 16 and 18°C.

Winemaking and ageing
Hand-harvested in late September. Following the ripasso method, practised at the estate since its beginnings, the Valpolicella of the latest vintage undergoes a second fermentation on the pomace of the new Amarone, made from grapes dried for three months and still rich in sugars and aromas. The wine gains in structure and complexity. Aged for four years in oak barrels, then in bottle before release.
