Tasting notes

Intense ruby colour. Deep aromas of ripe cherry, prune and blackberry. Imposing structure, thick velvety tannins and a broad bouquet. Drying the grapes, the appassimento, gives it body, roundness and great personality. It can evolve for up to 35 years in bottle, with a peak 20 to 25 years after the vintage.

Food pairings

Tagliatelle with mushrooms, spaghetti Bolognese, T-bone steak, pork shank, roast lamb, aged cheeses. Serve between 16 and 18 °C.
