Tasting notes
Deep ruby colour. Intense aromas of ripe fruit, prune and violet, with ethereal and spicy notes. Full palate with an imposing structure, silky tannins and a complex bouquet. Drying part of the grapes gives it great suppleness and notes of liquorice. It can evolve for up to 30 years in bottle, peaking 10 to 15 years after the vintage.
Fresh stuffed pasta, grilled meats and salumi. Serve between 16 and 18 °C.

- Grape varieties
- 45% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Carmenère, 10% Refosco, 5% Marzemino
- Winemaking and ageing
- The Marzemino and Refosco are dried using the appassimento method; the rest follows a classic temperature-controlled vinification in concrete vats. The dried grapes are then destemmed, crushed and fermented at controlled temperature. The wine matures in French oak barriques, then in bottle.
