Tasting notes

Brilliant golden colour, with subtle amber highlights at the rim. The generous, complex nose offers candied fruit, honey and dried fruit such as fig and apricot. The velvety, broad palate, of great aromatic concentration, combines ripe pear, quince and peach with delicate spicy notes and a smoky touch. Serve between 8 and 10 °C. A wine for long ageing, about 15 years.

Food pairings

As an apéritif, with foie gras, especially pan-seared with mango chutney and balsamic reduction, fine pastries, apricot, peach or apple tarts, pineapple or mango.
